Built with 18.5-inch Gavitt vintage-style pre-tinned push-back cloth wire, this assembly saves you the work of wiring the switch itself. The switch connections are soldered and protected with heat-shrink tubing, ready for installation and final connections in your guitar.

Carparelli Identi-Side — Match the Colour. Identify the Lead.

Developed from the practical experience of installing hundreds of harnesses, Identi-Side makes it easy to identify your pickup leads after feeding them through the guitar.

Both pickup leads from the switch use off-white cloth wire. One has yellow heat-shrink markers at both ends; the other has black heat-shrink markers at both ends. Simply check the marker at the switch and match it to the corresponding lead in the control cavity.

No temporary tape labels or trying to remember which white wire is which.

The marker colours identify the leads; they do not permanently designate Neck or Bridge. The pickup assignment depends on how you orient the switch during installation.

For example, with the yellow-marked side installed uppermost, closest to you, the matching yellow-marked white lead connects to the Neck Volume pot. The black-marked white lead connects to the Bridge Volume pot in that orientation.

Wire Identification

• Off-white wire with yellow heat-shrink: Pickup lead, marked at both ends.
• Off-white wire with black heat-shrink: Other pickup lead, marked at both ends.
• Yellow cloth wire: Hot/output lead.
• Black cloth wire: Ground lead.

At the switch, the black ground wire sits between the two off-white pickup wires. The yellow hot/output wire connects on the opposite side.
